Marseille forward Andre Ayew could remain at Stade Velodrome beyond the current season, according to his father Abedi Pele.
The Ghanaian is one of several star players whose contract is due to expire in June, and he was widely tipped to leave OM for greener pastures.
However, it appears that the 25-year-old is ready to consider an offer from Marseille before listening to proposals from abroad.
“I’ve always been at the heart of (contract) discussions. We will seriously consider all proposals,” Abedi Pele told La Provence.
“But, do not forget one thing: if Andre is here today, it is thanks to OM. So the first offer to consider is that of Marseille.”
Andre Ayew has been in fine form ever since he nailed down a regular starting berth at Stade Velodrome, bagging 39 goals in 150 Ligue 1 outings.
