Championship high-flyers Watford have completed the signing of Italian defender Marco Motta, the club announced on their official website.
The 28-year-old had his contract with Juventus rescinded few weeks ago and he has now joined the English side on a free transfer.
Marco Motta is expected to help Watford secure promotion to English Premier League with the Hornets sitting in play-off places at the moment.
The interesting thing is that this is the first time in the defender’s career that he leaves Italy, having represented the likes of Atalanta, Udinese, Torino, Roma, Juventus, Catania, Bologna and Genoa in Serie A.
Motta played for Italy at various youth levels while making one appearance for the senior national team.
The experienced defender has decided to embark on a new challenge after failing to make a single appearance for the Bianconeri this season.
He will officially become a Watford player subject to international clearance.
